What Is Paintless Dent Repair?
Paintless dent repair, or PDR, removes a dent by moving the metal back to its original shape instead of sanding, filling and repainting the panel. The vehicle maintains its factory finish.
PDR 360 is a paintless dent repair shop in Riviera Beach. Juan Bacchetta works the dent from behind the panel with metal rods, or pulls it from the front with glue tabs. An LED line board casts reflected lines across the panel, and the dent bends them, so Juan can read its shape and depth.
Our paintless dent repair services in Riviera Beach suit dings, hail dents, bumper dents and creases, soft or sharp. See finished panels in our before-and-after dent repair photos.

How it works
How Does Paintless Dent Repair Work?
A technician gets a tool behind the dent and pushes the metal out in many small, controlled movements until the panel regains its shape. If the panel is closed off behind, Juan bonds a glue tab to the dent and pulls it out in small steps.
Reaching the back of a door, fender or quarter panel sometimes means removing trim, a liner or a light first. After each series of pushes, Juan checks the panel under the line board and uses tap-down tools to level any high spots.
Every repair happens at our paintless dent repair shop in Riviera Beach, where the light and the tools stay set up for the work.
The paintless dent repair process ends when the reflected lines run smooth and unbroken across the panel. Our FAQ covers how PDR works in more detail.
What PDR can fix
What PDR Can Fix
Paintless dent repair for small dents is only part of the work: Juan repairs dents of all sizes and shapes, shallow or deep, soft or sharp, when there is access. Not all technicians have the same capabilities. Juan checks three things on each one: the paint, how far the metal has stretched and whether there is a sharp crease.
Cracked or chipped paint does not rule a car out. Bring it to the shop, and Juan goes over the choices with you at the free estimate; the shop itself never paints, fills or swaps a panel. Scratches, damaged paint and cracked bumper covers get the same look, as the page on bumper, scratch and auto body repair explains.
- Can fix: parking-lot dings and shopping cart dents.
- Can fix: hail dents, shallow or deep.
- Can fix: round or sharp dents on hoods, fenders and the metal panels beside a bumper.
- Can fix: dents along a body line, judged case by case.
- Can fix: dents in plastic bumpers and bumper covers.
Why drivers choose us
Why PDR Usually Leaves Safety Sensors Alone
PDR paintless dent removal does not remove, refinish or replace the dented body panel. That is why nearby sensors are usually left alone.
Modern cars carry cameras, radar and parking sensors in and around the bumpers, grille and mirrors. A repaint or a replaced panel near one of them can call for recalibrating the driver-assistance system, known as ADAS.
Because PDR does not remove or repaint the body panel, it usually avoids that step. Nothing is refinished, so there is no color match and no repainted panel for a buyer or inspector to find. Whether a dent beside a sensor suits PDR is Juan’s call at the inspection.
PDR vs. body shop
Paintless Dent Repair vs Traditional Body Repair
Paintless dent repair moves the metal back without any paintwork, while traditional body repair sands, fills, primes and repaints the damaged area.
Traditional repair adds filler, primer, paint and clear coat, and the new color has to match the old. PDR skips all of it, because Juan moves the metal itself instead of covering the dent.
As a paintless dent repair shop, PDR 360 does not paint, fill or replace panels. Cracked paint, deep creases and stretched metal do not rule a car out, so bring it in, and Juan explains the options at the inspection. To see how skipping the repaint helps at resale, read paintless dent repair and car value.
| Paintless dent repair (PDR 360) | Traditional body repair | |
|---|---|---|
| How the dent is fixed | The metal is worked back from behind the panel or pulled with glue tabs | The area is sanded, filled, primed and repainted |
| Factory paint | Stays on the car | Replaced on the repaired area |
| Filler and paint | None | Body filler, primer, paint and clear coat |
| Color match | Not needed | Needed, and a repaint can differ in direct sun |
| Vehicle history | No repaint to record | A repaint can appear on a vehicle history report |
| Driver-assistance sensors | Panels stay on the car, so recalibration is usually avoided | Removing or repainting a panel can trigger sensor recalibration |
| Best for | Door dings, hail, bumper dents and dents of most sizes and shapes | Panels that need new paint, filler or replacement |
| Where it’s done | At our paintless dent repair shop in Riviera Beach, by appointment | At a body shop |
Cost factors
What Changes a Paintless Dent Repair Estimate
Size, depth and where the dent sits on the panel change a paintless dent repair estimate the most. The number of dents and whether the panel is steel or aluminum matter next.
Paintless dent repair for small dents on a flat door skin is the simplest case. A dent on a body line or near an edge takes more work. Steel and aluminum behave differently, and aluminum takes more skill and time. Access behind the panel decides whether rods can reach the dent or glue tabs have to pull it. Paint condition matters too, and cracked or chipped paint does not rule a car out.
Photos give Juan a first read on whether PDR is likely to work. The estimate itself is free and given in person once Juan sees the dent at the shop. Request it through the free estimate form, with photos if you have them, or call 561-701-3318. The FAQ explains what affects dent repair cost.

How long does paintless dent repair take?
How long a paintless dent repair takes depends on the number of dents, their size, depth and location, and the access behind the panel. Juan gives you the timeframe at the inspection, after seeing the damage in person. See how PDR works.
Is paintless dent repair worth it?
Yes, for dents that paintless dent repair can fix. No panel is sanded, filled or refinished, so there is no repaint for a buyer or a vehicle history report to find when you sell or trade the car in. If the paint is broken or the crease is deep, bring the car in anyway, and Juan explains the options at the inspection. See paintless dent repair and car value.
Does paintless dent repair work on every dent?
Not every dent is the same job, so Juan checks each one at the inspection. Sharp creases and stretched metal take more time and skill, and access behind the panel decides whether rods or glue tabs are used. Cracked or peeling paint does not rule a car out, and PDR 360 also repairs plastic bumpers.
What decides the estimate for a paintless dent repair?
Size, depth and location on the panel decide a paintless dent repair estimate first. Body lines and edges, steel or aluminum, the number of dents, access behind the panel and paint condition decide the rest. Juan checks each one at your free estimate. See what affects dent repair cost.
Is paintless dent repair safe for my car's paint?
Yes, when the dent is a good candidate. PDR works the metal from behind, or pulls it with glue tabs, so nothing is sanded, filled or repainted. Paint on a previously repainted panel may crack or lift, so Juan checks the paint first and explains the options. Paint that is already cracked or chipped does not rule a car out.
